How to change an owner’s address
This is not the same as registering a new owner as that would need a new Part B registration.
To change the name of a registered owner, you need to do these things:
- Tell the Registrar what your name has been changed to and the address you would like us to send the new certificate of registration to. You can send us an email or a letter.
- Send Maritime New Zealand evidence of your change of name, for example a copy of your marriage certificate, deed poll or the company’s certificate of incorporation if the owner is a company (or other incorporated entity). You can send this by email, courier or post
When we receive the payment, we will send you an invoice with a reference number and instructions explaining how to pay. We will register your change of name and send you the new certificate of registration by courier.
