Notes
1 These training providers are approved by the Director to issue ancillary certificates of proficiency.
2 Seafarers attending ancillary refresher courses must provide the training provider with a company letter(s) confirming:
- they have actively participated in the mandatory abandon ship and fire drills (and fast rescue boat drills, if applicable) while completing
- approved seagoing service performing functions appropriate to the certificate they hold, for a period of at least:
- 12 months in total during the preceding 5 years, or;
- 3 months in total during the preceding 6 months.
You must have the relevant approved seagoing service and evidence of drills or you will be required to complete the full STCW approved ancillary course.
