When you must use a recognised compass adjuster
Maritime Rules Part 45, rules 45.6 and 45.19, set out which vessel types require the installation, repair, or adjustment of a magnetic compass to be performed in consultation with a Recognised Compass Adjuster.
Compass Adjusters can gain approval and be issued recognition only under the requirements in MR Part 45.35.
Vessel owners must consult only with a recognised compass adjuster.
