Notes

  1. These training providers are approved by the Director of Maritime NZ to deliver the listed STCW ancillary course and issue the corresponding ancillary certificate of proficiency. 

  1. If you attend STCW ancillary refresher training, you must provide the training provider with a company letter(s) confirming that you have: 

    • actively taken part in the mandatory abandon‑ship and fire drills (and fast‑rescue‑boat drills, if applicable) while completing approved sea service, performing functions appropriate to the certificate you hold, for at least: 

    • 12 months in total during the preceding 5 years, or 

    • 3 months in total during the preceding 6 months.
