How to renew a current Part B registration
If your registration has less than six months before it expires, and no details on the certificate of registration (except your address) have changed, you can renew the registration.
To renew, you do not need to complete a new application form. Email Maritime NZ with the following details:
- the name of the ship and its registration number
- a statement that you want to renew the registration and that none of the details on the previous certificate of registration have changed, except your address (if it has changed)
- any updated contact details, such as street address, postal address, phone numbers, and email address
- the address you would like us to send the new certificate of registration to.
Once we receive your email, we will:
- send you an invoice with a reference number and payment instructions
- renew your registration for 5 years from the current expiry date once payment is received
- send your new certificate of registration by courier.
