This Part was amended by Maritime Rules Amendments 2025 (No 2). These amendments come into force on 1 December 2025.
Maritime Rules Part 90 specifies compulsory pilotage areas and thresholds for pilotage. It also covers qualifications and training for pilots and pilotage exempt masters, and the issue of pilot licenses and masters’ pilotage exemption certificates (PECs) by the Director of Maritime NZ.
This Part was amended by Maritime Rules Amendments 2025 (No 2). These amendments come into force on 1 December 2025.
